Pictotext does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. All OCR processing happens locally inside your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing you capture or extract ever leaves your device.
No account or sign-in is required to use Pictotext.

You can clear this data at any time from the extension's Storage settings panel, or by uninstalling the extension.
Pictotext uses no third-party services, APIs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The extension makes no outbound network requests except to fetch image files from URLs you explicitly provide.
Pictotext does not load or execute any remote code. All scripts, including the Tesseract.js OCR engine and WASM binary, are bundled inside the extension package.
